Piles of Waste Cleaning in Kalibaru Accelerated

PPSU members from all urban villages in Cilincing Sub-district have been alerted to speed up the cleaning of piles of waste on a 400-meter-long land, precisely on the edge of the sea embankment RW 04 Kalibaru Urban Village, Cilincing Sub-district, North Jakarta.

Kalibaru Urban Village Head, Mulyadi said the deployment of PPSU assistance from other urban villages was approved after receiving a decision from Cilincing Sub-district Head, Muhammad Andri. It was due to the consideration of the volume of waste that had to be cleaned up immediately.

"Moreover, two excavators and four dump trucks owned by the Environment Agency are still on standby at the location," he expressed, Thursday (3/3).

He added that the waste reduction plan in the area had been thoroughly discussed together with the agency.

"Soon, we also plan to prepare three waste containers and educate residents on how to properly handle garbage after the containers are alerted," he stated.
